I chose Mace - Here is why you should too
I joined Mace in September 2021 following my degree in Construction Management. I was interested in joining Mac because it was praised by my lecturers for their innovative projects and project management.
What is your current job?
I am an Assistant Project Manager, and that means I play a part in delivering different aspects of the wider project. It means I provide assistance to the Senior Project Manager and Project Lead and act as a point of contact for our clients.
What training have you received?
At Mace, professional development is highly encouraged and we have a huge directory of formal training that you can undertake to help you fulfil your role. In my personal experience, it is the on-the-job aspect of the graduate scheme that I value the most. This gives you one-to-one time with your manager to delve deeper into various aspects of delivering a successful project.
What are the best parts of your job?
The most satisfying part of my job is knowing what I do is valued, and I love the fact that I have so much responsibility given to me in high-value projects. Don’t let the responsibility put you off, as you will always have the support of your colleagues – but through the responsibility given to me, I have learned loads in the past year.
