Philips

Why did you choose to work at Philips?

I chose to work at Philips because I wanted to do a rotational program to give me a chance to experience different roles within the business before deciding which path was right for me. Furthermore, I liked how proactive Philips is as a business, as they are always changing and evolving to provide solutions to the current market needs, all while striving to improve people’s lives. Finally, once I had attended the assessment day, I knew I wanted to work at Philips because all of the people seemed so welcoming, and it felt like a really nice work environment.

What does your role involve?

I have started the graduate scheme in the precision diagnostics department, which covers all of the scanners which Philips sell to hospitals. This role involves me supporting on a number of different projects with different business leaders, including marketing campaigns, revenue forecasting, and sales.

What makes Philips a great place to work?

Philips is a great place to work because of the culture here, everyone is really welcoming and friendly and they genuinely want to help you develop and learn. Also, it is not hierarchical at all here, so you get the chance to learn directly from business leaders.

What is one piece of advice you would offer an applicant?

Just be yourself in the interviews and assessments, the assessors just want to get to know you, and ask lots of questions.
